Various shows, with a strong presence of the voluntary groups which testifies the great sensibility of the inhabitants of Plesio for social problems, are organized by the Municipal Administration, the Pro Loco and other associations (Gruppo Alpini, Associazione Nazionale Combattenti Reduci, l'Arcicaccia and the Hunters of Plesio). There are appointments of great importance for the inhabitants and the holiday makers such as theatrical performances, dances and the tasting of local dishes, the rally Piazzo - Breglia, the birds'fair, the concerts of the choirs of Barna and Plesio,...together with some "ancient" traditions which are appreciated for their historical and cultural aspects, haven't lost their shine and attract lots of people from the nearby villages. The most important appointments you can't miss are: on the 20th of January, in Logo, the feast of S.Sebastiano. On the 31st of January, in Barna, Breglia and Plesio, the bonfires with the burning of Ginée. On the first Sunday of February, Candlemas in breglia. On the third Sunday of July, in Barna, the solemn procession with the statue of Madonna del Carmine and "incanto dei canestri". On the first Sunday of August, the feast in S.Amate. On the 15th of August, the feast in Ligomena. On the fourth Sunday of August the great feast of the Sanctuary of Madonna di Breglia. On the first Sunday of October, in Plesio, the parish feast of Madonna del Rosario. | |
